Congratulations on making it through Foundations! To continue supporting your class, we are hosting a Blockbuster event to ease you into your first course: Foundations of Medicine! The course will consist of three sections: immunology, hematology/oncology, and bugs and drugs and this section will focus on this first two sections of the block.
We know that BHD can be intimidating, which is why we want to provide a Blockbuster to give you a brief overview on what the course entails, what resources we found helpful and other useful tidbits of information for studying. Come join us in Taylor Hall from 12-1 on Monday 10/27. We are also serving FREE FOOD so please RSVP on MedScope. Looking forward to seeing you!

Interested in the medical and scientific processes behind the investigation of sudden, unexpected, or violent deaths? Join PSIG for our annual forensic pathology seminar on Tuesday, October 28 at 12:00 PM.
A forensic pathologist will discuss the systematic approach to postmortem examination, including how cause and manner of death are determined through autopsy findings and medical history.
Lunch will be provided. We will meet in the medical student lounge (down the hall from the Reid Rooms) and will walk to the hospital as a group, so please be on time.

Hello everyone! If you’ve ever caught yourself thinking Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery is just “boobjobs and injections”, you may want to mark your calendars for November 20th, 12-1 PM! The Plastic Surgery Interest Group is hosting a talk let by Dr. Pan and Dr. Lamaris, Shock Trauma plastic and reconstructive surgery attendings, who will be introducing this creative, vastly variable, and constantly evolving field!
There will be very yummy catering (EKIBEN!!!) on behalf of our wonderful sponsors, Baltimore Depuy Synthes, CMF and Thoracic division, who will also be discussing their work within the field.
