Hello Class of 2030!
On behalf of the UMSOM chapter of the Student National Medical Association (SNMA), WELCOME to the institution, we are so excited to have you join our community and look forward to being a valuable resource for you throughout your journey. To help kick off your first course of Foundations of Medicine, we will be hosting our annual Blockbuster event this upcoming Tuesday, August 11th from 12-1pm in Taylor Lecture Hall.
Hosted at the start of every course, our Blockbuster sessions are designed to ease you into the material... We’ll give you a quick preview of what the course entails, share the study resources we found most helpful, and offer practical tidbits to set you up for success. Foundations of Medicine in particular covers a lot of ground, including anatomy, critical thinking & research, histology, embryology, genetics, physiology, pathology, and pharmacology.
Phew! We know that list can sound intimidating, but don't worry! This session is meant to give you a roadmap so you feel confident diving into the material.
