Residency Advising Meetings will be schedule for May/June/July. Your MSPE writer will contact you to schedule a meeting.

Meeting will discuss: remaining scheduling questions; graduation requirements; residency application; and the following regarding residency applications:
  • How competitive is my specialty?
  • How many programs should I apply to?
  • Which programs should I apply to?
  • Contingency planning
Checklist to be completed prior to your meeting
  • Complete the Career Tab on MedScope and your Preferred Pronouns
  • Review your schedule/graduation requirements
  • Review packet information, included below
  • Review the Residency Application Handbook
The below are NOT required but may be helpful
  • Meet with Departmental Mentors
  • Create a preliminary list of programs of interest
  • Create a CV Draft (CV Tips); we will not go through this at the meeting but can answer specific questions
  • Create a Personal Statement draft; we are happy to review outside the meeting timeframe
