MS3 Scheduling Timeline

Surveys due at Noon unless otherwise noted. Email instructions will be sent for each step in the scheduling process.
  • January 9 4-5:30p **Mandatory Class Meeting**
    Clerkship Year and Scheduling via Zoom
  • Jan 10-23: Preference survey available | Survey link
  • Feb 14: Schedules posted to Portfolio
  • Feb 14-21@8am: Swap/Adjustment period

Milestone Events

  • First Day of School - August 2, 2021
  • White Coat Ceremony - August 6, 2021
  • Student Clinician Ceremony - April 2023
  • Match Day - March 2025

Before You Arrive

Complete the following items prior to arriving on August 2. Some items have earlier due dates as noted.

  1. Link your UMID to your SOM Account.
  2. Login to your SOM email.
    Supported mobile devices
  3. Login to SURFS and add/update your contact info.
    Include a home email address, emergency contact info, phone number, and both permanent and mailing addresses (even if they are the same).
  4. Due July 16: Complete the Photo and Name Recording Form
  5. Complete HIPAA 125 Training
  6. Complete the OSHA Respirator Questionnaire form. (Mandatory - Student Health)
  7. COVID Vaccination or Exemption Requirements
  8. MedScope access is now enabled. Log in and familiarize yourself with the website features.
  9. Due July 16: Choose a FERPA disclosure status in your MedScope student portfolio.
  10. Important details and deadlines for the August 6th White Coat Ceremony.
  11. Access UMB's Zoom account with your UMID
    When using the Zoom app, use SSO (single sign-on) to log in.
  12. Complete the AAMC MSQ
  13. Set up TurningPoint account before Monday's sessions.

    • Traditional Windows Laptop/MacBook devices or Surface Pro devices are required by exam software.
    • Tablets/iPads/and Surface devices that are NON-Pro are not supported by exam software.
  • Operating System
    • Windows 10 v2004 v20h2 v21H1 or higher
    • Mac OS v10.14.6 or higher
  • Hardware
    • Memory 8gb or higher
    • Hard drive: 128gb or higher
    • Wireless abgn
    • Webcam and microphone
